Hey Thor,

The three episodes of BBY 4 suffer from serious pacing issues. It feels like two solid episodes were stretched into three, nor did I find the story particularly compelling. While certain moments were interesting, I often felt bored and was tempted to skip through the slower parts.

The controversial scene was less graphic than it could have been.

The show also attempts to make a political statement by portraying the rebels/refugees as "illegals" on a farming planet. While the story is somewhat interesting, leaning too heavily into real-world parallels can sometimes break immersion.

The Ghorman Conference seems to draw a clear parallel to the Wannsee Conference. (There's an excellent film called Conspiracy that explores this event.)

We don't see what happened with the farmer who turned them in and the Imperials, but it reminded me of the opening scene of "Inglorious Basterds."

Best wishes,
John Coffey
