Ahsoka

The first two episodes of Ahsoka suffer a little from a slow pace mostly due to being dialog heavy. However, the dialog isn't particularly great, often with long pauses. The acting starts out a little wooden, but it improves as it goes along, which was enough to make me care about these characters.

Likewise, the story is only a little better than adequate, but it redeems itself with a good ending that promises great things to come.

The first two episodes feel like a show that hasn't yet found its footing. It is in danger of becoming another The Book of Boba Fett when what we want is another The Mandalorian.

The production quality is extraordinary. Very cinematic. It is good as any Star Wars movie, but it remains to be seen if the story can live up to the quality of the production.

The musical score is good but low key, and maybe that is part of the problem. This isn't John William's rousing Star Wars music.

The show is very much a continuation of the great Star Wars Rebels animated series, so people who haven't seen that series might struggle to understand what is going on. For those who have seen the animated series, the show has a great deal of nostalgia working in its favor.
