In the 1960's I watched the show "Dark Shadows", which was a horror soap opera for kids. The main character was the vampire "Barnabas Collins". In 1991 NBC tried to remake the series staring Ben Cross (Chariots of Fire, Star Trek 2009), but the show was quickly canceled.
