In the animated streaming series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Darth Maul is revealed to have survived being cut in half in The Phantom Menace. He also makes a live-action appearance at the end of the box office bomb Solo: A Star Wars Story—a surprising moment for anyone who hadn't watched the animated series. Maul was even supposed to be a major character in the planned Solo sequel, which now will probably never be made.
In the animated Star Wars Rebels, Maul hunts down Obi-Wan Kenobi in an attempt to take revenge. Someone has remade this scene using AI, and it looks impressively good. The duel itself is brief, as in the original, but the animated version makes the sequence clearer in terms of what happens. The fan-made remake also adds a few extra minutes of content, which isn't bad.
