People really really get into this show. Season 10 of the 2004 rebooted Doctor Who had an epic and emotional finish (Dying Doctor Who) followed by a twist cliffhanger ending. Twelve people have played Doctor Who over a 54 year period. They get away with this by having the Time Lord die and regenerate into a new body occasionally. And because he is a time traveler, he sometimes runs into a different version of himself.
