"Undoubtedly, the battle will rage on for years. Some hail LOST's finale as brilliantly touching and perfectly servicing six seasons of epic storytelling, others bemoan the lack of answers or narrative payoff. In earnest, there is no right or wrong.
Still, even with the plethora of bawling that arises from looking back on six years of emotional journeys, and character relationships coming to fruition, show-runners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse made a distinctive, and clear choice. The answers to the mysteries didn't matter, but rather the character arcs. "
... I thought that LOST, Life On Mars, and Stargate SG-1 ended brilliantly. Even the Sopranos ending was kind of clever.
